Rag Rug Socks ~ Räsymattosukat

I had for a couple years already wanted to knit stripy socks using two self striping yarns. Finally after a long time I was able to get my favorite self striping Novita 7 Veljestä sateenkaari (rainbow) here from Finland, thanks to mom now I was going to knit myself knee high socks. Well, suddenly out of nowhere seems like the whole world of Finnish sock knitters have had the same idea, and I see the socks done exactly that way everywhere on Facebook's sock knitting groups. I was a bit disappointed not to be the trend setter, since I thought it was my idea, but was going to make my socks anyhow. Good thing is, not too many people from Finland will be here around my hoods in Texas wearing their wool socks. :D

I made my socks toe-up and used Fleegle heel and mock cable on the ribbing. I am not sure I like the mock cable, it doesn't seem to have have the same kind of memory as regular ribbing, but I think the problem is in a stitch count. I probably need to decrease few stitches before starting my cuff once I get around to fixing them. But here they are, very simple and very warm and they make me very happy.

Olen jo pari vuotta halunnut neuloa raitasukat kahdesta eri itsestäänraidoittuvasta langasta ja sain viimein odottamani lempilangan Novitan 7 Veljestä Sateenkaaren Suomesta, kiitos äidille, ja vihdoin olin valmis aloittamaan sukkani. Yllättäin näyttääkin siltä että puolet Suomen sukkienneulojista on ollut samoilla ajatuksilla ja näitä sukkia olikin yhtäkkiä pitkin Facebookin neulontaryhmiä. Olin hieman pettynyt etten ollutkaan se trendin aloittaja, vaikka olinkin tätä miettinyt jo pitkään, mutta aioin tehdä sukkani siitiä huolimatta. Positiivisena voin ilmoittaa, että ei onneksi kovin monet suomalaiset tule tänne Texasiin meikäläisen kulmille elvistelemään hienoilla sukillaan. :D

Tein sukat varpaista varteen ja käytin Fleegle kantapäätä (ei mitään tietoa josko sille on suomenkielinen nimityksin) ja varteen laitoin valepalmikkoa, mutta en tykkääkkään siitä niin paljon kuin luulin. Joustin ei tunnu palautuvan yhtä kauniisti kuin tavallisella joustimella, mutta luulen että ongelma on ennemmin silmukkamäärässä kuin itse neulemallissa. Aion kuitenkin varmaan korjata resorin vaihtamalla joustinneuleeseen ja kaventamalla muutaman silmukan verran. Mutta tässä ne kuitenkin ovat, oikein yksinkertaiset, oikein lämpimät ja saavat minut oikein hyväntuuliseksi.

Chevron And Sherbet ~ Siksakkia Vadelmaisissa Väreissä

This here is one of the first socks I made for myself. Well, I meant to make it for someone else, but they became quite tight due to lots of decreases, so I didn't dare to give them away, instead made another pair. I love this color scheme from Drops Fabel, reminds me of a raspberry sherbet and I think it worked quite nicely with my pattern, just would have to advice the tightness by adding stitches one way or the other. After all, I quite like these socks, too bad I have to keep them for myself ;)

Nämä sukat ovat yhdet ensimmäisistä jotka olen itselleni tehnyt. Tai jos ollaan ihan rehellisiä, niin en alunperin niitä ollut itselleni tekemässä, mutta monien kavennusten vuoksi sukat eivät ole kovin joustavat enkä uskaltanut antaa niitä pois, vaan neuloin toisen parin. Tämä on yksi Drops Fabel langoista kaunein mielestäni, väri muistuttaa vadelma sorbettia ja mielestäni se sopii aika hyvin malliini. Täytyy vain vähän värkätä tuota tiukkuutta lisäämällä silmukoita jollain tapaa. Kaiken kaikkiaan kuitenkin tykkään näistä sukista, harmi että jouduin ne itse pitämään. ;)

Bed Socks ~ Unisukat

My friend saw the cable socks I had made and requested I made her sock that she can use while she sleeps. She wanted the worsted weight, though I was worried they might be too thick for Texas nights, she however was delighted with the socks she received. I used the same pattern as on the previous post, but had to modify the pattern quite a bit. I also made the socks cuff down, much more easy riding, that way I didn't have to modify the toes too, since I have always used the fingerling yarn for toe up socks. :)

Ystäväni näki tekemäni palmikkosukat ja pyysi josko tekisin hänelle sukat, joita hän voisi käyttää nukkuissaan. Hän halusi ne paksummasta langasta, ja vaikka olinkin huolissani että ova turhan kuumat Texasin öihin, niin hän tuntui niistä pitävän. Käytin samaa mallia kuin aikaisemmin postaamiin palmikkosukkiinkin, mutta modifioin sitä paksummalle langalle. Aikaisemmasta poiketen tein nämä sukat varresta alkaen, näin oli teko hieman tutumpaa, eikä varpaita tarvinnyt modifioida, sillä olen aina neulonut varpaista alkavat ohuella langalla. :)

Cable Socks ~ Palmikkosukat

Ok, my big post is painful to process, so I decided to leave it alone for a while and concentrate to happier things. So no post of doom for now. ;)

I wanted to be surprised with socks for my birthday, so I joined a Birthday Sock Exchange. I knitted socks to one of the members for her birthday and someone knitted socks for me. I have lately joined the more universal way of making socks of fingering weight yarn and so this time again I used Fabel again with self striping print and I made a cable on the outer side of the sock. This is just significantly slower than knitting with the thicker Finnish yarns, but also will be more useful during other tinmes than just winter. I knitted the socks from the toe up and two at a time. My intention was to make longer socks, but we were traveling in the mountains of New Mexico and my circular needles broke. So I had to instead make the cuff with a bit bigger needles than the rest of the sock. I really wanted to make them about 2 inches longer, but the change of needles in the middle of the pattern would have been noticeable. All things good, she received the socks and was happy with them and even took this pretty picture for me, since I rushed and sent them without taking a picture. :) Pretty spiffy sock blocks, have to get those myself. :)

Päätin jättää suuren tuomiopäivän postaukseni myöhempään ajankohtaan, se tuntui kovin raskaalta prosessoida. Sen sijaan yritän keskittyä positiivisempiin asioihin. Eli se lupaamani iso syvällisempi postaus saa nyt odottaa.

Halusin tulla yllätetyksi sukilla syntymäpäivänäni, joten otin osaa Syntymäpäivän Sukkarinkiin. Itse neuloin sukat erään toisen syntymäpäiväksi ja vuorostaan joku toinen minulle. Olen viimeaikoina yhtynyt universaaliin sukkienneulojaporukkaan neulomalla sukkani paljon ohuemmalla langalla ja tälläkin kerralla neuloin ne Fabel langasta, itsestääraidoittuvalla sellaisella ja suunnittelin niihin palmikon ulkosyrjälle. Ohuemmalla neulominen on vain huomattavasti hitaampaa kuin suomalaisilla sukkalangoilla neulominen, mutta sukat ovat paljon monikäyttöisemmät muinakin vuodenaikoina kuin talvella. Neuloin nämä sukat varpaista alkaen ja kaksi kerrallaan. Tarkoituksenani oli tehdä pidemmät sukat, mutta matkaillessamme New Mexicon vuorilla ja puikkojen rikkouduttua ei uusia puikkoja olisi löytynyt tilalle. Siispa päädyin aloittamaan resorin puikkojen rikkoutumiskohdasta hiukkaa isommilla puikoilla. Harmikseni en voinut tehda 5 cm pidempiä kuten olin suunnitellut,  mutta puikkojen vaihto kesken kuvion olisi ollut liian näkyvä. Kaikki hyvin ja vastaanottaja piti sukista ja ottipa jopa hienon kuvan minulle hätähousulle joka postitti ne ilman kuvanottoa. Aikas hienot sukkablokitkin, täytyy itsenikin sellaiset hankkia :)

Easter Egg socks ~ Pääsiäissukat

I took part in an Easter sock exchange, where you knit someone socks according to their measurements and someone else knits socks for you. I tried for the first time Drops Fabel yarn and I have to say that it being much thinner yarn than the ones Finnish people generally knit their wool socks from, I started with a wave of panic thinking I will not be able to get them ready as soon as I hoped. The pattern was easy, but I usually knit a pair in two days, this yarn takes more work and took for about a week and a half to finish. The got done in time just fine, but I like to be done way early. I feel my hands hurting more, but the yarn feels so much nicer than the ones I grew up knitting with. So I ordered some more of it, since Fabel yarns have been on sale for the month of March.

The Finnish name for the socks is actually Kumpare, which means hillock, but I just call them easter egg socks, and you might be able to figure out why. :)
Nothing complicated with the pattern, just very nicely fitting socks. I was glad the person I was knitting to had about the same size of foot, since it being a new yarn I had to try them on to make sure the fit is good. One day I can knit without thinking... for now it still isn't routine. Maybe if I stuck to the same kind of knitting for a longer time. But no, that would be boring, need some change. :)

Otin osaa pääsiäis-sukkavaihtoon, jossa neulotaan sukat jollekkin toiselle heidän mittojensa mukaan, ja joku taas vuorostaan sitten neuloo sukat sinulle. Kokeilin ensimmäistä kertaa Dropsin Fabel lankaa ja täytyy sanoa että koska se on paljon ohuempaa lankaa kuin mistä suomalaiset normaalisti neulovat, meinasi paniikki iskeä, kun luulin että en ehdikkään sukkiani neulomaan ajoissa. Malli sinänsä oli mutkaton, mutta yleensä sukat valmistuvat parissa päivässä, mutta tällä langalla kesti neuloa lähes puolitoista viikkoa. Se on käsilleni paljon rankempaa, etenkin vasen käteni tuntuu rasittuvan helpommin, mutta lanka tuntuu niin paljon mukavammalta neuloa kuin ne lapsuuden rautalangat joilla opettelin neulomaan. Joten tilasinkin sitten lisää kyseistä lankaa, kun ne kerran koko maaliskuun ovat olleet alennuksessa.

Sukkien mallin nimi on Kumpareet, mutta etenkin hempämmillä väreillä tehtynä niitä voin ihan oikeutetusti kutsua pääsiäissukiksi, kuin pääsiäismunia olisi varsissa. :)
Malli sinänsä ei ollut maatakaatavan erikoinen, mutta keskityin tekemään sopivat sukat joita on ilo käyttää. Uudella langalla neuloessani olin tyytyväinen että parillani oli samankokoinen jalka, sillä oli mukavaa että pystyin kokeilemaan sopivuutta. Vielä joku päivä opin tekemään langalla kuin langalla sopivat sukat ilmat että tarvii kokeilla, toistaiseksi se rutiini puuttuu vielä. Ehkäpä jos keskittyisi tekemään enemmän samoja töitä, eikä vaihtaisi jatkuvasti. :) Mutta ei... elämässä pitää olla vaihtelua.

Lace Up Socks ~ Nyörisukat

So my socks that I could not blog about, since they were for someone else have finally been received after being weeks on a road and despite of the not so perfect images, the receiver is very happy. Short story long socks with loooong laces.

Sukkani, joista en voinut bloggailla, koska olivat matkalla vastaanottajalle, ovat vihdoin saapuneet muutaman viikon matkustelun jälkeen. Vaikka kuva ei oikein niitä edustakkaan, vastaanottaja on erittäin onnellinen. Lyhyt tarina, pitkät nyörit.

Scrunchies - Ruttusukat

As the schools have now started and the summer is slowly nearing it's end I knitted another pair of socks. This pair of socks was made for me. I used my glittery, gradient yarn that I actually quite like. I never knit my socks with the intention to use them in shoes, it is hardly ever so cold here that I would need wool socks inside my shoes, but I do like to wear them in the middle of the summer when the AC is blowing as cold as it can and the shorts and flip flops don't keep you warm inside, especially when I walk at the tile floors. If my feet are cold I feel frozen, so yes, I admit for using wool socks in the middle of Texas crazy hot summers, even when it is 110 F outside :D I know all you Texans thinking I can not possibly be from Finland.

Näin koulujen jälleen alettua ja kesän hiljalleen lähestyvän loppuaan, päädyin tekemään vielä yhdet sukat. Tällä kertaa sukat ovat minulle. Käytin hileistä liukuvärjättyä lankaa, josta satun pitämään aika tavalla. En koskaan neulo sukkia käytettäväksi kenkien kanssa, täällä on erittäin harvoin tarpeeksi kylmä sää villasukkien käyttöön ulkosalla, mutta käytän niitä kylläkin sisällä keskellä kesää kun ilmastointi puhaltaa oikein kylmää ja shortsit ja varvastossut eivät riitä, etenkin kaakelilattioilla kävellessä. Kylmät jalat tarkoittaat kylmää yltympäriinsä, joten myönnä kyllä villasukkailevani ihan keskellä Texasin kuumaa kesää, jopa kun lämpötilat kohoavat yli 43 C. :D Hullua hommaa.

Peacock socks ~ Riikinkukkosukat

One more pair of socks got done for the sleep sock exchange. Most of the time the fun comes out of the partner receiving them and posting pictures. This time I got to feel a little bitterness, when no notification came saying she had received the socks, nor did she ever send the socks to the person who was her partner. Such is life, luckily the group of people was fun and even though there were quite a few misses, in the end everyone got their socks from someone awfully nice stepping in and refusing anyone to get disappointed.

The socks that I knitted are made according to the pattern Riikinkukko, which means peacock in English. The pattern was easy to follow and I might use it in the future again. I used different yarn and needle size for mine and achieved soft and comfortable sock for sleeping, but for actual wear I would follow the pattern with the yarn and needle recommendations.
The yarn in the pattern is Novita's Nalle, which is 284 yards in 3.5 ounces. You can use any yarn just adjust the gauge.

The pattern is from the blog Annikainen puikoissa. I got her permission to translate it to English.

Cast out 58 stitches in DK, 37 out of which are for k1, p1 ribbing and 21 for the pattern

When knitted on dpn's divide the stitches as follows on the first round:
1st needle 19 stitches of k1, p1 (the last one k)
2nd needle p2, k9
3rd needle k8, p2
4th needle 18 stitches of k1, p1. If you need to adjust the width add or deduct stitches on the ribbing part.

The pattern goes as follows:

1st row p2, k3, k2tog, 7x(yo, k1), yo, ssk, k3, p2
2nd row: p2, k2, k2tog, k15, ssk, k2, p2
3rd row: p2, k1, 2tog, k 15, ssk, k1, 2p
4th row: p2, 2tog. k 15, ssk, p2

Repeat the rows 1 to 4 repeatedly.
Choose the heel and toe pattern to your liking.

Vielä yksi pari unisukkarinkiin. Useimmiten näissä vaihdoissa suurin hauska on kun parisi saa sukkansa ja innoissaan julkaisee kuvaia. Tällä kertaa sain maistaa hieman pettymyksen katkeraa kalkkia, kun vastaanottajani ei ilmoittanut edes kyselyistä huolimatta, tai lähettänyt sukkia omalle vastaanottajalleen. Niin se elämä vain heittelee, hassua miten katkeraa on jos sukat menevät hukkaan tai niitä ei itselle saavukkaan, mutta ihmiset kutovat niitä sellaisella tunteella että pettymys on suuri kun joku ei ole asian suhteen rehellinen. Onneksi ryhmässä oli myös paljon pelastavia enkeleitä, jotka mielellään neuloivat ilman jääneille myös, kieltäytyen kenenkään joutuvan pettymään. Vaihto on kaikki suoritettu ja vaikka joidenkin sukkien tulo kesti, kaikki saivat ne. Myös ne jotka eivät itse sukkia neulonutkaan.

Neulomani sukat tein Riikinkukkosukkien ohjeen mukaan. Sukka oli helppo neuloa ja luulen että saatan käyttää ohjetta toistamiseenkin. Unisukat tehdessäni käytin kuitenkin paksumpia puikkoja kuin ohje suosittelee, sillä en halunnut sukista liian napakoita, vaan mukavan pehmoiset nukkuvaan jalkaan. Jos suunnittelet kyseisen mallin neulomista, suosittelen ohjeiden mukaista materiaalivalintaa.
Itse tein sukat AnniKainen puikoissa blogin mukaan. Sain häneltä luvan ohjeen postaukseen ja kääntämiseksi englanniksi.

Perfect summer and another pair of socks

As the summer keeps creeping towards the end, I have to say it has been the best summer in Texas ever. After years of drought and insane heat, we have finally gotten cooler weather and rain for the summer. The drought is so bad that we are on stage 3 of water restrictions, which mostly means for us that there won't be watering the lawn more than twice a month. Usually that would not be anywhere close to being enough and usually the lawns are even with adequate irrigation fairly brown and yellow at this time of the summer. This summer we have gotten enough rain, so often that we have actually even skipped some waterings. This all suits me great, I love it and if I knew the summers are going to remain like this, I would never even consider traveling around. Well, right now we are few weeks away of us possibly starting to travel around but all is still up in the air and we never know comes our way. I like to keep it like that, keep all our options open, that way what ever comes can be welcomed with open arms.

Anyhow, I have been able to knit through the summer likewise I thought what would happen. I expected my hands to get so sweaty that my yarn would be felted before the needles even touched it. I managed anyway to make a pair of socks to someone else with the pattern I have wanted to try for a long time. The biggest challenges came from following the pattern, there were several sheets of the pattern and I think I managed to hop from one page to another but got it all together after all.
Once more I got a chance to use my awesome yarn that I ordered from Turkey. I knitted the socks one at a time and I wanted to make them a bit mismatch on purpose by starting the next sock exactly where the other one ended without worrying the stripes from the yarn being exactly at the same spot as on the first one's. The color runs were fairly long and the socks ended up being quite different actually but I was in luck and the person they were for was delighted of the fact. Sigh of relief.
The pattern is called hovineito and while the instructions are in Finnish, the diagrams will guide anyone through the pattern with ease.

Kesän hiljalleen edetessä syksyyn, ei voi olla mainitsematta että tämä on ollut kyllä kaikkien aikojen paras kesä Texasissa. Vuosien kuivuuden ja järjettömien helteiden jälkeen viimeinkin saimme viileämmän kesän ja sateita. Kuivuus on ollut niin vakava, että jopa täkälaisten kovasti rakastamien  nurmikoiden kastelut ovat joutuneet pannaan, kuukaden aikana on vain 2 kertaa muutaman tunnin ikkuna jolloin kastelu on sallittua. Normaalisti se ei riittäisi ollenkaan pitämään nurmikoita vihreänä vaan ne ovat usein tähän aikaan olleet jo jonkin aikaa kasteluista huolimatta joko keltaisia tai ruskeita porottavan auringon ansiosta. Mutta tänä kesänäpa on sadetta riittänyt jopa sen verran että uskalsimme kerran tai pari jopa olla kastelematta. Tämä kaikki tuntuu sopivan minulle vallan mainiosti, ihanaa kun kerrankin voi olla ulkona ilman lämpöhalvausta ja jos ilma olisi aina kesäisin näin ihana en ikinä suunnittelisi matkustelua minnekkään muualle. Juuri nyt suunnitelmissamme on muutaman viikon päästä lähteä tien päälle matkustelemaan ympäri maata, mutta mitään ei ole vielä kiveen kirjoitettu ja olemme valmis, tuli mitä sattuukin eteemme. Kaikki seikkailut otetaan vastaan syli avoinna.

Olen pystynyt neulomaan koko kesän läpi, toisin kun luulin. Tosin ilmastointi auttaa pitämään kädet hikoontumatta niin ettei lanka kokonaan huopuisi ennenkuin sitä ehtii edes neuloa. Onnistuin neulomaan sukat lahjaksi mallilla jota on mieleni tehnyt kokeilla jo kauan. Suurimmat haasteet tulivat pysymisestä oikealla sivulla ohjeessa, sillä niitä oli useampi ja loppujen lopuksi sain sukat tehtyä yllättävän pian.
Jälleen kerran sain mahdollisuuden kokeilla lankojani jotka tilasin Turkista. Neuloin sukat yksi kerrallaan ja tein niistä tarkoituksella erilaiset aloittamalla itsestään raidoittuvalla langalla seuraavan sukan juuri siitä mistä edellinen putosi puikoilta sen suurempia surematta. Värijuoksut olivatkin aika pitkiä ja sukista tuli aika erilaiset, ehkä enemmä kuin olin aikonut, mutta onneksi vastaanottaja tykkäsi niistä. Helpotuksen huokaus.

Slip Stitch Socks (Pin Stripe Socks) - Rivinoususukat

I chose to participate in a sock exchange and decided to use my new yarns that I had ordered from Turkey. I usually don't use acrylic yarns, but this time I was too excited to see all the wonderful colors online, most of them were self striping and I just ended up adding things to my shopping cart until I felt more would be just too much.  No, did not pay any attention to the fiber, was just too mesmerized with all the colors. Well, I will not hesitate to use their acrylic yarn again, since it is the softest acrylic I have ever touched. And I couldn't believe my eyes to see the package on my door on Tuesday afternoon when I had just ordered it on Saturday. That is half across the world in less than three days. Wow.

But back to the sock exchange. This was the first time I joined these exchanges and I didn't know exactly what to expect. The only rule was that the socks were not really for wearing in a shoe, rather to wear while you sleep, so the requirements were a soft non itchy yarn. This yarn seemed to fit all the requirements. I realized that I know nothing other than a shoe size and name of my partner, so I wanted to make sure that no matter how skinny or thick her ankles would be, the socks would still fit nicely. I wanted to try the slip stitch pattern on these socks and think that they came out pretty nice. I wish I could have made them more "form fitting" but I just wanted to make sure they are not too tight and will be soft to wear. I also came up with super enforced heel pattern, more of an accident, but it really is heavily enforced. I used flap heel with short rows and for the toes I do my decreases on the sides and bind off all at once when I have 8 stitches left. I like turning my work upside down and feed the needles through the little opening to the other side and knit the two needles together and then bind off.

Slip stitch pattern will raise a row of stitches, so it is better to keep it just on the leg and top of the foot. I definitely with a sensitive feet would feel the ridges on the bottom of a sock. You can knit a sock with your chosen heel and toes, for more fitting leg part you can knit ribbing for about 10 rows before the start of the heel.

For a pattern that looks like this,  you need a number of stitches you can divide by 4.
1st row: *knit 3, slip 1 purlwise*, repeat *_* till the end of the row.
2nd row: repeat 1st row pattern.
3rd row: knit all stitches.
Repeat rows 1 to 3.

Päätin osallistua sukkarinkiin ja niinpä sain loistavan tilaisuuden käyttää uusia lankojani, jotka olin tilannut aivan turkista asti. En yleensä käytä akryylilankoja, mutta nettisivuilla vastaani tuli niin ihania raidoittuvia värejä, että lisäilin innoisani koriin sen kummempia tutkimatta ja kun budjetti oli käytetty niin tilasin. Eli en sitten kiinnitänyt huomiota kuituun ollenkaan, olin niin haltioissani väreistä. Mutta eipäs ollut hukkaostos, en epäile toistamiseenkin tilata sieltä, sillä heidän akryylilankansa ovat pehmeimpiä mitä olen ikinä käsissäni pitänyt. enkä ollut uskoa silmiäni kun lauantaina aamuyöstä tilauksen laitoin niin langat olivat ovella odottamassa tiistaina keskipäivällä. Puolen maapallon ympäri kolmessa päivässä, siinä on ollut vauhtia!

Takaisin sukkarinkiin. Tämä oli ensimmäinen kerta kun otin osaa näihin sukkavaihtoihin enkä oikein tiennyt mitä odottaa. Ainoa toive oli että sukat olisi tehty unisukiksi, eikä tavalliseen käyttöön ja että lankamateriaali olisi mahdollisimman pehmeää paljaalle jalalle. Turkin lankani tuntuivat täydellisiltä tähän projektiin. Huomasin pian että tiedän paristani vain nimen ja kengännumeron. En ollut saanut mitään erityisohjeita, mutta jos hänen nilkkansa olisivatkin paksummat niin toivoin että sukkani siltikin istuisi mukavasti. Valitsin mallikseni rivinoususukat ja vaikka sukista tulikin oikein mukavat, olisin halunnut ne hieman paremmin istuviksi nilkoista, mutta tietämättä paristani päätin jättää niihin hieman varaa, ja unisukkana toive oli pehmoiset ja mukavat käyttää ja jaloissa sukat olivatkin ihan mukavan näkoiset.
Sattumoisin tein supervahvistetun kantapään, ihan vahingossa, mutta siitä tuli kyllä reilusti vahvistettu. Tein tavallisen lappukantapaan ja kärjen kavennuksiin tein leveän nauhakavennuksen ja kun jäljellä on 8 silmukkaa käännän työn nurinpäin ja ompelen ylä- ja alapuolen silmukat yhteen ja päätän ne.

Rivinousu on todellakin nimensä veroinen, rivi todellakin nousee koholle, joten on parempi jättää rivinousu pohjasta pois. Ainakin minä tunnen kaikki pienet epätasaisuudet sukkien pohjissa. Voit valita mieleisesi kantapään ja kärkikavennuksen, tosin parhaiten mielestäni sopii kavennukset jotka on vain reunoilla, tai voi vaihtoehtoisesti lopettaa pintakuvion ennen kärkikavennuksia. Ja halutessasi hieman paremmin istuvan sukan, voit neuloa ennen kantapään aloitusta 10 kierrosta joustinta.
